“I start working when my Competitors are sleeping”– Urs Vishnu
Hey guys this is Prabhakar Alok and I am the founder of StartupMedias.
Today We have Urs Vishnu founder and CEO of LIRC Digital company.
He is a professional blogger and Youngest Entrepreneur From Visakhapatnam.
So, lets know more about him in this Interview with Prabhakar Session.
Q1. Please introduce yourself to the readers
Yeah ! Thank you so much for having me here in your website. I’m honored with this. Let me make it short and sweet for your readers. Myself P. Vishnu Vardhan widely known as Urs Vishnu Designer by Passion, Digital Marketer by Profession, Entrepreneur by choice finally a Founder of LIRC Digital (A web Designing and Digital Marketing Agency based in Visakhapatnam).
Q2. Tell us something about your education & family background.
A typical middle class family from the town Vizianagaram. Such a beautiful place it is. From my Schooling to Graduation, my whole life has been in that town.. To achieve my future goals, we have shifted to the “City of Destiny” Visakhapatnam. Yeah !! I’m missing my place badly.
Coming to my family, My father is a gazetted officer. Mom worked as an English Teacher in the school where I studied and now a happy housewife. I have a brother who is younger than me but behaves like an elder one in the house. Passed out from NIT Warangal as a Mechanical Engineer and now working for LnT as O1 Grade Officer.
Q3. According to You, What is Entrepreneurship?
In one word, Challenge. Challenge that we make with ourselves. Challenge that we show to our competitors. Entrepreneurship is a road full of hurdles. If you stop by seeing hurdles, you are done. You are no longer an entrepreneur. One with full of self confidence and holds a never give up attitude is the winner. Only he can see all the hurdles like challenges.
Q4. How did the idea for your business come about?
Mine is already existing technology buddy. There is nothing like an idea came from something else. The matter of fact is, my chosen field is now in saturation.
Q5. What was your key driving force to become an entrepreneur?
Since my childhood I always dream to have a company of my own. But I don’t know what to choose as a business… My dream grew as old as me. Now I believe this is the right time to make it come true.
Q6. How did you come up with a name for your company?
This is crazy. Really crazy . You don’t believe if I say this. But happened. As I said, since my childhood I always dream to have a company of my own, Form 11th class, I started getting dreams with the name L-I-R-C. Don’t know what it is. Since then to 2017 almost every night I use to get this dream.
When I decided to work on my startup in 2017, I wanted to register my company first. Don’t know what to name it. Suddenly my mind got stuck with the name L-I-R-C. With no second thought I registered my company as LIRC Animation which is now re-named as LIRC Digital. To make sense I came up with an abbreviation. Live Incredible Real Creative Digital Works.
Guess what !! I never ever got the dream after my company got registered with that name. Crazy right !!
Q7. What is your USP, which makes it unique & different from other start-ups in similar domains?
Good Question. Actually in my experience, I have seen many websites with less quality. Don’t know the reason. Many say the quality depends on the project budget which is not wrong actually. But even then I see no quality within that provided budget. As a designer and technical expert, I know what quality of work should be provided in that budget.
So I made this as a “User Selling Point”. Me and my team never compromised on the
quality whether it is low or high budget. Point to be remembered, we have never done any website project below 7K. Because I don’t want my company doing websites for 7K or less and also I know quality cannot be provided in that budget. So I almost left 28 projects in that cost.
Q8. How did you hire your first team members? What skills do you want in your employees or team?
I planned my startup in 2017 but my situation forced me to do a job. But the urge to start my company never faded out. I have friends in the same domain. Sunil who is very talented and can handle both UI/UX single handedly. He is the 1st person who joined hands with me.
Ratnakar who is SEO Expert, UI designer and also can handle clients meeting and bring the project in successfully. He is the 2nd person who joined the league. We know we need one more hand to make in UI designer. So we started searching.
It took us 2 years. I found her in Institution where I learned Web designing. She’s Swetha. Talented, Hard worker and smart one in the room. What I observed is with proper guidance she can do an amazing work.
With our previous experience in Web designing company, we guided her in the way we need it. We never hear “I don’t know” or “I can’t do this” from her. This is the quality we looked for.
Now she is the best designer we ever got and I made her Lead web designer in my company.
Q9. Did you raise funding for your venture? If yes, then please tell us how you got that.
If you’re looking for this answer from me, I am so sorry I’m not the right person. Because I never look for funding or investment in my company.
Q10. How do you market your business, and which tactics have been most successful?
I thought of running Facebook ads for my business but I know not everyone exactly needed website service and the funny thing is we have many web designing companies and freelancers available for very low cost. So for sure clients will approach them because of low cost service.
Coming to digital Marketing projects, Clients always prefers well established companies or companies with minimum experience in the business field.
One thing that worked really well for me is Referral Marketing. I gain some of my clients’ trust and that brought me the projects till today.
Q11. What kind of culture exists in your organization, and how did you establish it?
We are a bunch of enthusiastic people dreaming for a bigger goal. It’s more like we put up some random ideas and implement them based on the feasibility. Culture may have some meaning if the size is large. Presently everyone in the group have the same liberty and freedom to come up with the ideas without any hesitation. It is how it is and it’s gonna be the same in the future.
Q12. How many hours a day do you work on average?
I guess 12 Hours. Sometimes It takes more than that. Depends on the project that I’m working on.
Q13. Can you describe/outline your typical day?
My typical day goes like everyone’s. I stay max. at work and if anyone wants my presence I will make my time for them else I keep doing my work until I feel bored. And yeah ! I watch English TV Series in between work to keep my head cool from pressure situations.
Q14. How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?
Like Thanos said, Balancing is how it all should be. I learned how to balance. My entrepreneurship never affected my family life or friendship. I will make my time whenever they required my presence. I don’t think it affected, in-fact it made me a better person.
Q15. What motivates you?
Competitors. Yes buddy ! Like everyone, I wanted to be the best in the market and I’m doing everything to be the best. My competitors motivates me to work harder because they are already in the market from long time. I don’t think I would take more time to give them a good competition. I just need a few more projects with a good budget.
Q16. How do you generate new ideas?
You should ask this question personally to my mind because I don’t know dude. I really don’t know how to generate new ideas. My mind suddenly comes up with crazy shit, and I follow it. That’s all I do.
Q17. What is your greatest fear, and how do you manage fear?
My life’s greatest fear is FAILURE. See I’m 26 years old entrepreneur. Got really good offers in well established companies but I didn’t gave a thought of doing job again. Because I feel it’s already too late to start my own company.
As an elder one in the house I have a pressure to get settled down in life. But keeping all the pressure aside I went with all my guts to make it happen this time this year (2019). Guess what ? Pressure hits my maximum bar.
Managing is what I do all the time since my Btech. Because my college taught me many crazy things. I keep myself grounded, Keep my head cool from all the mess, I take my personal time. That’s how I manage my fear.
Q18. What are your ideals?
- Client is always correct. If not, educate him and make him understand.
- No bluffing game with client. Maintain utmost transparency.
- No Boss-ism.
- No idea is small or worthless.
Q19. How do you define success?
Well. Success has many definitions these days. I don’t think I should add one. It differs from person to person. But in business, Success is “When your competitor’s client approached you for the better service than their previous one, you can call it as a success” It means you have a better service than your competitors.
Q20. Do you believe there is some sort of pattern or formula to becoming a successful entrepreneur?

Q27. What business-related book has inspired you the most? (or, Which is your favourite book?)
The word business itself inspires me the most not books. If I name a book, My parents, teachers and my friends goes crazy and will kick the hell out of me. Because they never saw me reading a book even academic which is exactly true. I’m not very good at reading books Prabhakar. I maintain my distance with them.
Q28. What entrepreneurial tricks have you discovered to keep you focused and productive in your day-to-day busy schedule?
